Ways We Learn

Young children learn with their whole bodies—through movement, touch, observation, and relationships.

1

Practical Life

Pouring, transferring, wiping, and tidying give children meaningful ways to participate while developing coordination and independence.

2

Language and Communication

Books, songs, conversations, and storytelling support emerging language. We listen and respond to children’s gestures, sounds, and words, giving them time to express themselves.

3

Sensory Discovery and Early Mathematics

Matching, sorting, stacking, and exploring size and shape help children notice relationships and make sense of their surroundings.

4

Drama Lesson

Children explore colour, texture, rhythm, and movement. Open-ended experiences leave room for their own ideas, without expecting everyone to produce the same result.

5

Earth Bite — Cooking Club

Washing fruit, mixing ingredients, mashing bananas, and baking cookies bring Montessori practical life into food preparation. Children explore textures and smells, practise simple skills, and help clean up afterwards. Tasting is invited, never pressured.

6

Movement and Nature

Indoor movement and outdoor play offer opportunities to practise balance, build strength, and discover changes in the natural world.

7

Learning Together

With patient guidance, children begin to name feelings, express needs, and develop relationships with others.
